Great video, great tip, only one question which I can't find anywhere: what if you want to do some tweaks to the raw file (i.e. stabilization or contrast, or other metadata) and then export it back with those informations. Is it actually possible? I understand that then "it would not be a RAW file anymore", but what if the RAW came with some deficits like shaky camera or heavy contrast?

Can the Calibrite Color Checker Display Pro work just as well as the Display Plus for these DisplayCAL settings? My monitor is less than 1,000 nits. Please, someone, let me know. Thank you.

Hey Aram, did you use your Asus monitor for Dolby Vision grading? I heard that HDMI 2.0 doesn't support the high data flow rate required for Dolby Vision or did you connect it to the Mini 4k using a different method?

Lens correction is only available in Studio and not in the free version. What a let down.

Just share some info for folks. HDR contect to RUclips take time to showing proper HDR and for 8K HDR its took days so dont panic if your uploaded content dont show HDR in RUclips. I use QuicTime H.265 Rec 2020 PQ ST2084 ofcourse yuo can use other HDR options.

Amazing. This worked with my iPhone 15 HDR footage. The exported footage is very similar to the viewer I graded on my Mac.

With Resolve 19, use IntelliTrack instead of PointTrack, it's slower but way more precise ;).

This is amazing, a 7 years old video that I need it 4 years ago. How come it never cross my way sooner. I have try every tutorial possible to get my GH5 color grade look the way I wanted. Now I finally can, I even got the GH6. Subbed quick! Thanks so much. EDITED: Ok, I'm not so sure but I think that I saw a video here on RUclips about color grading the GH6 on DaVinci using this same exact footage you are using. This is the name of the channel CreaTive HouSe FilmS, the video looks very strange too.

I come back to this video as a refresher after all these years still. It is amazing that you are using Resolve as a precision light manipulating tool which is its primary purpose. I learned all my color grading from you over about 7 years ago watching your videos. Thanks so much. I hope one day you'll make an updated version of this tutorial but this still holds up still to this day. It would be neat to see relight incorporated.
